Palouse is proudly owned by longtime Leland homeowners who know and love this community. We created LA's one-and-only destination where craft coffee, curated books, and thriving plants come together — all in a warm, independent space built for LA, by LA.

At Palouse, we're all about elevating your everyday coffee ritual, and that's why we've invested in La Marzocco – the legendary Italian espresso machines handmade in Florence since 1927. These aren't just pieces of equipment; they're the backbone of the world's top coffee shops, from Blue Bottle to Intelligentsia, and we're thrilled to bring that level of precision to Leland. Owned by longtime locals who know what makes a community spot shine, we chose La Marzocco because it aligns perfectly with our indie, non-corporate ethos: quality over quantity, every single shot.

Founded nearly a century ago, La Marzocco revolutionized espresso tech with innovations like the dual boiler system (pioneered by them in the 1970s), which lets us brew rich, flavorful espresso and steam silky milk for lattes simultaneously – no waiting around during our busy weekend rushes. Their iconic Linea Classic model (which we'll feature) has been a staple in specialty cafes for decades, blending timeless stainless-steel design with modern reliability. Fun fact: The lion emblem you might spot? It's a nod to Florence's heraldry, symbolizing strength and pride in craftsmanship – much like our commitment to Leland's vibe.
